Khopra Trek
One of the less well-known and newer treks that follows the traditional hiking route of Annapurna Base Camp is the Khopra Trek. The trek is perfect for those enthusiasts who want to explore places which are less commercialized and want to enjoy a peaceful time in the nature. This is not a very high altitude trek so the trek is also suitable for those enthusiasts who haven’t had a chance to explore the Himalayas. You can gather the most authentic experience via the Khopra trek and head on to other challenging treks thereafter. The highest altitude you get to in this trek is at 3,360 meters Khopra Ridge. But if you want to explore more, you also have an option to visit Khayar Lake which is a beautiful lake at an altitude of 4,660meters.
One of the tour's primary highlights is the vibrant city of Pokhara. Surrounded by sparkling mountains and beautiful lake your stay at Pokhara will be as enjoyable as ever. Then we reach Ghandruk which is known for its Homestays and another exceptional opportunity to live the culture and traditions as well as taste the foods of remote Himalayas. Khayar Lake will be the major attraction on itself as the unique landscape is sure to astound you. There will be many other hidden attractions that you will get to explore, because Nepal is much more than just the Himalayas.
Before beginning the Khopra Trek, hikers must be in good physical condition because the altitude will exceed 3,500 meters. All travelers are advised to engage in some basic physical activity three to four months before embarking on this wonderful journey. All hikers are advised to bring some basic trekking equipment with them for their personal comfort. Even if there might be some difficulties along the way, the adventure will be rewarding as you get to experience the local cuisine and beverages and take in the breathtaking surroundings. Before you begin the trek, we will obtain the TIMS and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permit for you.
