Annapurna Poonhill Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal as it follows the most beautiful and classic trail of Annapurna Base Camp. This trek is very famous among the climbers as this trek has been commercialized as top trekking destinations of Nepal. The panoramic views from Poonhill and the authentic Ghandrunk village are just among the few highlights that attract many visitors every year. Passing through narrow roads and beautiful rhododendron forests you reach Poonhill, a charming viewpoint of the region. You’ll be able to get the best views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Machhapuchre(Fishtail) and many other beautiful mountains throughout the whole way.
The trek is suited for all age group with good physical shape. The trek goes upto the altitude of 3210meters at Poonhill which is the last destination of classic Annapurna Poonhill trek. The trek is best for the family with teens and friends who want to have a good experience in depth of nature. You also get to experience the way of life of people in the Himalayan remote region of Nepal. As you hike upto Poonhill you’ll pass many beautiful villages with welcoming and wonderful people. The food and the culture are also one of the most sought after attractions of the region.
As the altitude goes above 3,000 meters during the Annapurna Poonhill Trek, trekkers need to be in a good physical shape before embarking on the journey. Basic physical exercises are recommended to all the travellers 3-4 months prior to the trek. For your own comfort carrying basic trekking gears with you is also recommended to all the trekkers. There might be some hardships along the way but the trek surely will be worth it as you taste the authentic local foods and beverages along with the spectacular sceneries. The permits needed for the trek are TIMS permit and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permits, which we will acquire for you before you start the trek.
After a short visit of major UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu, he trek begins with a spectacular drive to Pokhara, one of the top touristic attractions of Nepal. We head to Nayapul and trek upto Tikhedhunga to stay for the night with a belly full of local foods and beverages. We embark to beautiful Ghorepani the next day, which will be around 5 to 6 hours of walk. We reach Poonhill the next day and enjoy the best sceneries in the region and head on to Tadapani to stay for the Night. We move on to Ghandruk the next day which is very popular destination known for its Homestays. We stay at a welcoming home enjoying best foods and beverages and move down to Nayapul the next day. We drive back to Pokhara and take a stunning drive back to Kathmandu which marks the end to our spectacular Annapurna Poonhill Trek.

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by our airport representative and transferred to your 3-star level hotel in a private tourist vehicle. You will spend the night at the hotel and enjoy dinner.
Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley and Trek preparations
After having morning breakfast we’ll go to have a short sightseeing of major UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Then we’ll have a short briefing session and you can start preparing for the trek.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/2690ft) 6-7 hours
We head to Pokhara early in the morning via the deluxe bus. You’ll be able to enjoy many beautiful sceneries along the way and as you reach Pokhara you’ll be transferred to your Hotel. You can take a walk along the Lakeside Pokhara.
Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1hour 30minutes) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m/5,052ft) 3-4hours
After a short drive to Nayapul, our trek will officially begin as we head to Tikhedhunga. The hike will be short and we stay at Tikhedhunga for the night.
Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,870m/9,416ft) 6 hours
Today after morning breakfast we head to Ghorepani, one of the famous destinations of the region. You’ll be able to enjoy many breathtaking mountain views along the way as we reach Ghorepani to stay for the night.
Hike to Poonhill (3210m/10531ft) and trek to Tadapani (2,620m/8,596ft)6-7 hours
We head to Poonhill early in the morning hoping to catch the beautiful Sunrise. After we finish clicking pictures and enjoying the scenery to the full we reach Tadapani and get our good night’s sleep.
Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m/6365ft) 3-4 hours
Today’s next stop is Ghandruk, a beautiful village known for its Homestays. We enjoy the delicious meals prepared by our local hosts and take our good night’s sleep.
Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (1,070m/3,510ft) 4hours and drive to Pokhara
Today we hike back to Nayapul and head to Pokhara. You can enjoy boating or take a walk around Lakeside in the evening as we head back to Kathmandu tomorrow.
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, 6-7 hours
Today we drive back to Kathmandu via the same way before. You’ll be transferred to a cozy Hotel and you can go shopping for souvenirs in the evening. Today marks the end to this beautiful journey as you’ll be heading back to your home tomorrow.
Departure day
Today is the final day of your trek, and we prepare for our departure. We provide transportation to drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We exchange final farewells and hope to see each other again in the future. We wish you a pleasant journey and have a safe flight!!!.
