Mt Everest Heli sightseeing, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet Tour is a trip in and around Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. This trip is mixed with Everest sightseeing, a jungle safari in Chitwan, and a tour in Pokhara. In addition, you also visit Bhutan and Tibet where you can witness the traditional culture and lifestyle. Above all, this trip introduces the natural and cultural beauty of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet.

Firstly, you’ll fly to Everest Base Camp on a Helicopter and relish the sights of mountains in the Everest range. After spending some time in the company of Mt. Everest (8848m), you return to Kathmandu. Next, you visit the world heritage sites in Kathmandu then drive to Nagarkot to view the sunset. Next, you fly to Lhasa and explore the popular destinations in Tibet. Further, you visit Potala Palace, Tibet traditional hospital, Jokhang temple, and many other places. You fly back to Kathmandu and follow with a flight to Bhutan. You’ll visit Gangtey and the Tiger’s Nest Monastery among other sites in Bhutan. Finally, you fly back to Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara and visit some of the famous attractions in the city. Further, you head to Sarangkot early morning for sunrise and head to Chitwan. Here, you go for a jungle safari in Chitwan and return to Kathmandu.

Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (Mar-May) seasons offer the best views of the mountains and the natural beauty of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. Thus, these are the ideal times for this trip. Likewise, people of all age groups can easily do this trip.

Day 1

Arrival day in Kathmandu (13,00m)

You will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and our representative will be there to meet you. He will be responsible for transferring you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city or preparing for the trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2

Helicopter day tour to Everest Base Camp: 4-5hours.

The activity for the day includes getting on a helicopter and traveling to the Everest Base camp. This is the shortest alternative to the classic Everest Base Camp Trek. You will get to witness the jaw-dropping views of snow-laden mountains that decorate the Everest region like the Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Nuptse (7861m), and Cho Oyu (8201m). The journey may take more than an hour and at the base camp, you can witness the Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall as well. Spend some time there and then head back to Kathmandu to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.  

Day 3

Kathmandu Valley sightseeing (visit world heritage sights) and drive to Nagarkot for sunset view and stay overnight at country villa hotel.

There are a lot of things to do and see in Kathmandu. As such, we shall explore the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu valley which include sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites have great architectural and religious significance to the people in the valley. After lunch, we shall head out to Nagarkot. This is a beautiful hill station and offers a surreal view of the surrounding landscapes. Overnight in Nagarkot. 

Day 4

Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan and back to Kathmandu.

The day begins as we head to the Nagarkot View Tower and savor in the vistas of the Himalayas in the Langtang, Ganesh, Jugal, and Gaurishankar ranges. After observing the mountains in Nagarkot, we head to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. There are sites like the 55-windowed palace and Naytapola Temple here. After tasting the local curd, we shall head towards another Durbar square called Patan Durbar Square. You’ll explore the many Chowk and Bahals here. Krishna Temple and the Mahabouddha are some of the famous landmarks here. Later, you shall head to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 5

Fly to Lhasa (3,650m/11,972ft)

During the 5th day of this trip, we shall fly to Tibet or more specifically Lhasa. It is the capital of Tibet and is a great tourism center. There are many things to do and see here. Lhasa is situated at a high elevation so it might be difficult for you to go sightseeing today. So, we shall acclimatize today and spend the day resting in Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 6

Lhasa sightseeing: l: Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, and Tibet Traditional Hospital 5 - 6 hours

Lhasa is a big city and the sightseeing tour cannot be completed in a day so we shall take 3 days to explore this city. The first part of this tour sees us visit the mighty Potala Palace. This palace is colossal and houses at least 1000 rooms. Moreover, it was also used as the residence of the Dalai Lama. As of now, the Dalai Lama doesn’t reside there and it has been converted into a museum. The next stop on the tour is the Norbulingka Palace, which stands out due to its architectural marvel. Visit the Traditional hospital as well to understand the blend of traditional and modern medical practices. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 7

Ganden Monastery and Drayerpa Cave: 5 - 6 hours

The second leg of our visit in Tibet sees us visit the Ganden monastery. This monastery was founded in 1409 AD by the founder of the Gelug order. This monastery overlooks the desolate terrain of Tibet and gives us an insight into the prevalent culture and traditions of Buddhist people in Tibet. After exploring this monastery, we will head out to visit the Drayerpa cave. As per historical records, many past sages and monks meditated here. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 8

Lhasa Sightseeing: Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar: 5 - 6 hours

Today is your final day in Lhasa and we again head out to explore the landmarks in this city. We will visit the Sera monastery, which stands in the middle of bland pastures. This monastery is draped in white and red with a golden top. Drepung monastery is another destination for the day. This monastery is often revered by people to be one of the most important ones in Tibet. In the evening, you can visit the bustling Barkhor bazaar and shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Lhasa.   

Day 9

Fly back to Kathmandu.

From Lhasa, we shall board a flight that takes us back to Kathmandu. The flight is short and provides us great views of the surrounding mountains that slowly transcend into green valleys. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you shall head to your hotel and prepare for the flight that you will take tomorrow. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10

Fly to Paro then transfer to Thimphu (2,320m/7,610ft): 54 km, 1 hour

A morning flight will take you to Bhutan. There is only one international airport in Bhutan and that too is the Paro airport. It will be our destination for the day. Once you arrive at Paro, you will transfer to Thimpu which is the capital of Bhutan. You can spend the evening at Thimpu by taking a walk in the city. Overnight in Thimpu.

Day 11

Sightseeing in Thimphu

During your stay in Thimpu, you can visit many sites. For instance, you can visit the Tashichho Dzong which was created by the Lho-Drukpa sect of Buddhism. You can visit the national library to learn about the Bhutanese culture and traditions. If you are fond of architecture, then you can visit the Simtokha Dzong. The art and masterpiece here are bound to blow you away. Overnight in Thimpu.  

Day 12

Thimphu to Punakha (1,250m/4,100ft): 76 km, 2 - 3 hours

After completing the sightseeing trip in Thimpu, you shall head to Punakha. We shall follow the Thimpu-Punakha highway and once in Punakha, you can indulge in a quick sightseeing tour. At Punakha, you can visit the famous Punakha Dzong. This palace sits beside a river and is simply stunning. Observe the Mo Chhu River and cross the Punakha suspension bridge. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 13

Excursion to Gangtey: 164 Km, 5-6 hours

From Punakha, we will drive to Gangtey. This journey will be a long one, but it gives us amazing views of the hilly roads and hilly ambiance of Bhutan. Gangtey is a valley which is U shaped and it is also a habitat for the rare black-necked crane. There are marshlands and swamps here as well. After exploring, we head back to Punakha.  Overnight in Punakha.

Day 14

Punakha to Paro (2,250m/7,382ft): 130 km, 4 hours

From Punakha, we shall drive to Paro. The journey is quick and enjoyable. Once we arrive at Paro, we shall take a moment to visit the landmarks of this city which include the Rinpung Dzong, National Museum of Bhutan, and the Kichu Lhakhang temple. All these heritages have great influence upon the people in Paro and Bhutan as a whole. Overnight in Paro.

Day 15

Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery

The next morning, we will visit the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. This monastery is a must-visit the site in Bhutan. Here, you can find amazing sculptures and paintings. This monastery overlooks the Paro Valley from a cliff and also sports views of the surrounding landscapes. Once you reach the monastery, you can explore it and learn about its ancient history. From here, we shall head back to Paro and you can do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Overnight in Paro.

Day 16

Fly to Kathmandu.

From Paro, we shall get on an airplane and travel to Kathmandu. The flight takes us about 1 and a half hours. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will head to your hotel. You can do some souvenir shopping in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu. 

Day 17

Drive to Pokhara (820m)

In the morning, get on a private vehicle and head out to Pokhara. The journey takes you through the Prithvi highway and small settlements in Malekhu and Damauli. The drive takes about 7 to 8 hours to complete. Once you arrive in Pokhara, you can take the rest from the long ride. Spend the evening near Lakeside and enjoy the sights of the Annapurna range and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 18

Pokhara city tour

Pokhara is often called as the natural wonder of Nepal. There are many things to do in Pokhara and it includes Paragliding and bungee jumping as well. We shall visit the Phewa Lake and Davis Falls. You can learn about religion in the Bindyabasini temple and do visit the Bat cave and the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. At the end of the day, stroll around the Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara. 

Day 19

Drive to Sarangkot (1592m) for Mountain View and drive to Chitwan (415m).

We wake up early in the morning and head to the beautiful hill station called Sarangkot. This hill provides an amazing view of the mountains that decorate the skyline which include Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m). After witnessing the sunrise, we head back to our hotel for a quick breakfast. Check out from the hotel and then proceed towards Chitwan. We arrive there after driving for 4 to 5 hours. Overnight in Chitwan.  

Day 20

Explore Chitwan National Park.

Today, we shall visit the Chitwan National Park- one of the two natural UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal. The park is home to a variety of endangered plants and animals, including the Royal Bengal Tiger and the one-horned rhinoceros. You can explore the park on the back of a jeep or the back of an elephant. You can even indulge in a boating trip on the Rapti River. Spend the evening by witnessing the Tharu culture. Overnight in Chitwan. 

Day 21

Drive to Kathmandu

From Chitwan, you shall get on a bus and head back to Kathmandu. The journey goes along the beautiful Narayanghat - Mugling Highway, which later joins the Prithvi highway. The drive takes about 4 hours and once you reach Kathmandu, you will head to your hotel. In Kathmandu, you can do some souvenir shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 22

Departure day

Today is your final day in Nepal and our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. The company staff shall have a brief session with you and we hope to see you soon.
