The 12 days Motorbike Tour is a daring adventure that takes you to many of Nepal's prominent locations. It is a journey that encapsulates the joy of riding on the open road to destinations that are rich and brimming with cultural and historical treasures.
The journey begins with a motorbike ride from Kathmandu the lake-side city of Pokhara. Riding out onto the open road that winds along deep ravines and steep ridgelines, you will be presented with scenes of the gorgeous countryside. With vast fields of mustard and rice plantations, and thick bamboo and juniper groves, the drive is a serene endeavor through the country's tranquil outskirts.
Furthermore, the journey then takes you to the famous village of Tatopani where you can relax at the village's natural hot springs. The hot springs at Tatopani are also believed to have natural healing properties. Similarly, the road then snakes through the river valleys and meanders towards Upper Mustang through Kagbeni.
The trip captures the wild spirit of riding through the Himalayan foothills in its most joyous form. You will be riding on Royal Enfield Bikes, driving through the blacktop and off-laden dirt tracks towards villages like Lo Manthang and Jomsom. It is an adventurous trip that presents sights of the mountain peaks and the natural environments in a different way than trekking.

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu. (5/6 hour 200 km – Blacktop road)

Arrival in Kathmandu
You may arrive in Kathmandu at any time. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our airport representatives who will help you get transferred to your Hotel. There are no planned activities for the day, so you may check into your Hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Kathmandu.
Trip preparation day
This day is reserved for preparing for the upcoming trip. Your permits and all necessary documents will be prepared today. You will be looking at your bikes for the trip. If you want, you can also opt to have a short sightseeing tour of the city's major UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara -915m by Royal Enfield's bike (6 hrs. 200km – Blacktop road)
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be driving towards Pokhara city. It is an exciting journey, filled with scenes of mustard and rice terrace farms and deep river ravines. As you approach Pokhara, you will also get your first view of the Annapurna Peaks. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pokhara.
Drive from Pokhara to Tatopani 1179m (6 hrs. 112km Off-Road)
Driving further deep into the Pokhara Valley, you will be making your way through the winding road towards the famous village of Tatopani. It is a naturally beautiful, ride as the road runs alongside thick woodlands and rivers. Upon reaching Tatopani, you can take a relaxing dip in the village's natural hot spring that is believed to soothe ailing body pains. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Drive from Tatopani to Kagbeni 2667m (6 hrs. 90 km- Off-Road)
From Tatopani, you will then drive to Kagbeni- also known as "the Gateway to Upper Mustang". A special permit is needed to enter into Kagbeni. You will pass by many ruins along your way to Kagbeni as the road snakes through rice fields planted at the foothills of massive eroding cliffs. Kagbeni is a settlement of traditional houses built with mud and stacked with stones. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Kagbeni.
Drive from Kagbeni to Ghami 3534m (4 hours 27 km- Off-Road)
From Kagbeni, you will be driving on dirt tracks towards one of the most beautiful villages of Upper Mustang- Ghami. It is located beneath towering red and blue cliffs and eroding hills that form spectacular shapes as they rise against the landscape. Upon reaching Ghami, you can visit its many protective greenhouse farms, as well as the village's Red Monastery and the Summer Royal Palace of Mustang's old monarch. Ghami also has the longest Mani Wall in Nepal, as well as many Chortens clumped together with the ruins of Old Ghami. You can also visit Ghami's numerous Hill Caves. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Ghami via Tsarang sightseeing then drive to Lo Manthang 3840m (4/5 hrs- 18 km)
From Ghami, you will make your way to Tsarang today, passing by two low-mountain passes. Along the way, you will come across a huge five-story Dzong and also a Red Gompa that houses interesting collections of Buddhist statues and Thanka paintings. Tsarang is a small settlement that has few traditional houses painted in crimson red. After sightseeing at Tsarang, you will then make your way to the capital of Upper Mustang- Lo Manthang, driving through the arid landscape, passing by flat desert dunes. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Lo Manthang.
Drive to China border. Return to Lo Manthang afternoon, explore around Lo Manthang. (2 hours 26 km- Off-Road)
From Lo Manthang, you will have an excursion to the China border. Taking in the landscape and the border that Nepal and China share, you will then return to Lo Manthang where you will spend your time exploring the historic city. The village is also known for its King's Palace- a nine-cornered, five-storied building constructed during the 1400s that houses many Ranjana inscriptions. You can also visit the village's four major temples- the Jampa Kakhang, the Thubchen Gompa, the Chodey Gompa, and the Choprang Gompa. You can also pay a visit to the Nyiphu and Garphu Cave Monasteries at Chhosar. Overnight stay at the guesthouse at Lo Manthang.
Drive back to Jomsom (6-7 hrs -98km - Off-Road)
From Lo Manthang, you will drive through the arid landscape once again towards Jomsom. Jomsom is the headquarters of Mustang and is famous for Shaligrams- fossilized black shells believed to be the natural reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. The village is located by the banks of the Kali Gandaki. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Drive back to Pokhara. (8-9 hrs - 155km – Off-Road)
From Jomsom, you will say goodbye to the desert-like terrain and make your way back to Pokhara, winding along the road that transforms from sandy acreages to green pastures and woodlands. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Drive back to Kathmandu. (5/6 hour 200 km – Blacktop road)
From Pokhara, you will make your way back to the city once again, driving by the same path as before, looking at the fading views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Departure day
Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be taken to the airport for your departure.
